Other than polishing...!! Any one knows what control chrome covers part number would fit the valkyrie interstate models? Cuz the space between the kill switch  and the throttle cables is much larger on the interstate control than the standard and tourer valkyrie models. they are not interchangeable. The right side is different. Thanks

Some time ago, Kury made chrome covers to go over the OE control boxes.  They had fit problems, and I think did not work on IS throttle side.  I do not know if they are still offered.

Someone still sells chrome covers to replace the OE control covers. (I think Big Bike Parts/Show Chrome) But every report you read about them says it is nearly impossible to get all the wiring back inside them.  So I never tried.

I have high polished my OE covers with BombsAway and White Diamond metal polish, and they look pretty good.  They are not clear coated.... like the master cylinders.  I think this is the best solution.  The trick is to use smaller strips of cloth and buff by pulling them back and forth (like a shoe shine).  It takes a while the first time, but upkeep is easy.
