I'm in the middle of changing the rear tire. While in there I've got the rear caliper
off, and trying to replace fluid and pump up the pressure.

I used my method of filling the line from a syringe, and I got fluid to go from
the bleed nipple to the reservoir, but no bubbles came out, that I could see.

Tried bleeding from the nipple, while squeezing the pedal. Got some bubbles
that way. Then no more bubbles, just fluid.

I cannot yet get any pressure on the pedal. Obviously I've got air in there,
but where if I can't get any more bubbles.

No, caliper is out by itself. Pistons are in, and blocked from shooting out.

You probably have an air bubble trapped at the rear master cylinder. Bleed it at the outlet from the master cylinder by cracking the line open where it connects to the MC while doing the normal bleeding routine. Should get you where you need to go.

get a bigger syringe and use it to suck fluid from the bleeding nipple, crack the line open while applying pressure to release any air trapped there (wrap it with rags so it does not squirt away on paint, chrome or your eyes). apply pressure on the pedal and find a way to keep the pedal pushed down over night

Did that, no more bubbles. Than you for the idea.

Thought about IF I could do that. Thank you for that. Will look into it tonight.

Try a reverse bleed method. Make sure the master cylinder fluid stays above the add mark and put a thin wood block in the caliper , pump the pistons out. Then , hold the caliper down (hose pointing up) and slowly push the pistons back in , but make sure not to overflow the master cylinder. Push the pistons all the way in and then put a thicker block in the caliper. Pump up the pressure and see if it works. I have used this method many times with problem brakes.

Wasn't able to get to this until yesterday. Quite a battle.

So I did do a bleed at the plunger, and I did push the pistons in, then out
a few times.

Finally got the damn things moving, and then out. Got a lot of work
to do in there, including all the rubber pieces that'll need replacing.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Tried them all, some worked.
