Greetings.
I am looking for a bra (for lack of a better word) for my fairing on my Valk Interstate. I've seen them on some of the bike pics here on the site.
ANyone familiar with a source?

Thanks.

Also saw one on www.valkyrieblingandmore.com. I use mine when the bugs are at their worst.

All the best,

PAVALKER,

I bought mine from them several years ago but if you look at your link they are no longer available through directline.

I had one made at a local sewing shop for $50.00 had to be a little creative for some of the clips but it works great and looks just like a original.

Are the I/S bras like the car bras were, rubbing against the paint & ruining it?

Marty,

I only have it on when I go on long 1000 mile + rides to minimize the sand and chips caused from other vehicles.  I don't see any "dull" areas on the fairing but I have seen where people keep it on all the time and when they take it off it has dulled the paint.   On the directions when you buy one it specifically says that if the bra gets wet (ride in the rain), to remove it and let it dry prior to installing it back on the bike.  Also if it stretches and becomes lose the wind can cause the bra to slap the fairing causing wear to the clear coat.

I like the looks without it but it is nice to not have to clean all the bug splatter off the fairing on long trips.  Bugs wipe off much easier on the bra than the bike.

My bike had some cosmetic damage when I bought her. Having the bags painted this spring, but the faring will have to wait. Looks to be a pain to remove and I couldn't ride without it. Until I can get around to it the bra was cheap and looks pretty good.

I keep mine on most of the time actually, but I do wash and wax the fairing when I wash the bike.  No noticeable rubbing marks at all.

I had one made at a local sewing shop for $50.00 had to be a little creative for some of the clips but it works great and looks just like a original.

I would like to see a picture of that bra.... maybe they can make a few for a few of us.  I would not mind having a spare on the shelf if needed.

Here's another.  Don't know the price or fit.  Need to see if they come in black.
