So as it is in pick. Top cable pulls the throttle open. And lower cable is the return. So how do you know I have them backwards? Just checked. When I open throttle the throttle flaps inside carbs don't move. So this means they are wrong?

Roid, next time you venture out to remove those cables, before you start you need to use some white paint or white-out and put a mark on both a single cable and its location. Next take a quick picture of the setting of the adjusting nuts. Takes all the guess work out. As for the location in the picture, if you're opening the throttle and the carb innards don't move, well........

ok, gonna reverse them. Actually I did mark them but me being the cleaner that I am, I cleaned the marks right off. I'll be right back. HAha

ok, I reversed them. so now when I give it throttle I see the throttle flapper opening. Still feel a little bind at throttle and I have no return at all. How do I set theses.? TIA

Ok, I have it adjusted right on the top end of each lower cable at carburetor end. So now I need to tighten the lower nuts. But you have those prongs hanging down like a screw stop. How do I get the lower locking nut up in there?

Are you having fun Roid? Get the adjustment right with the bottom nut while the top nut is backed off,, then tighten the top nut to lock the cable.

Ok, this one of those things that's hard to explain in writing.  I know how now. But to simplify it you want both cables very loose. You should have no binding. It's more your throttle cable and not so much return cable. Get them loose, then pull up on throttle cable, by hand, to bring lower nut into the locking area and then tighten the top side down while holding the cable tight. Keep checking to be sure you still have no binding and throttle snaps back. Once throttle side done then got to return side. pull up on cable my hand to draw the locking nut up and then tighten top. Always checking for throttle ease and snap back. Hope this helps. Took me 2 hrs to get it. Now my Dan Marc.

Oh and BTW. If you get the cables confused the one with two nuts is the return cable and the one with only one is your throttle. Throttle side more upward and to the right.

Didn't mean to be such a smart a**,, I didn't restrain myself and should have. I guess it can be confusing until you get the working knowledge. Now that you understand how BPP knew you had the cables reversed, it will be a lead pipe cinch from now on. Hope the fuel shutoff valve install goes smoother.
