  Fantastic! Your dad can't put off any pains like that figuring it will go away. At 41 I had chest pains, went to the hospital, had a battery of tests to tell me I burned my esophagus on Orzo that was too hot. A year before I had a stitch in my side and put it off....My Appendix nearly burst. Your dad did the right thing.
