I broke the knob and shaft off the side of my speedometer.  Sad
I just filled the gas tank, and started to turn the odometer back to zero when the knob and shaft broke off.
Has anyone else done this?
How did you fix it?
Suggestions please?

Thank you Roidfingers. Installing the new knob looks simple enough.

Barry you are correct. However, I am sure you like me are not ready to give up on these great machines.

Yes very small precision phillips head screw driver. Take out old install new. Screw is small. if its broke on the inside of cover then I would magnetize the screw driver so you don't loose it inside the housing. But if it does fall in. Just remove the cover. That's simple too.

The small screw is still in the portion that broke off.
With the screw being so very small and my hands being so big, I ordered a new one when I ordered the knob.
Thank you for your input.   Smiley
