I installed the fork air deflectors from big bike things on my interstate today and went for a test ride this evening. I could tell the difference as soon as I left the driveway. It really stops the air flow coming above the gas tank which in certain wind conditions cause buffeting, but the heat rising from the engine was too much for me. The deflectors are supposed to be adjustable but I can only angle them slightly. I will probably try to make a different mount and see if I can find a happy spot.
Do any of you have these or similar and found a way to use them for summer riding. Do I need some other deflecter to direct some cool air to me or will I need to remove them in the summer??

Baker air wings for the interstate. I have the same issue as you the BBT air deflectors allow the engine heat to come up and you can't adjust them too much or they'll hit the pods on a turn.

Thanks, the bakers direct cool air to the rider, while the fork deflectors stop the air from going over the tank, right?

I generally take my fork wings off during the summer unless I am going on a long highway trip. I prefer my wings on for three seasons but heat will force them off for a few months.

Can't comment on either as I dont use either but I am at the end of a 2000 mile 4 day ride and I rode mine the way they made it with No Problems  |

I made a set for mine and worked great until a 75 degree ride at nite, they came off for the summer. The heat was very pronouced!

I actually prefer air coming over the gas tank thus no front fork deflectors for me I guess then. Even in 40 degree temps, I have my windproof, heavy duty armored jacket on and no wind or cold gets thru that.
To have LESS cool air coming at me during the hot summer months is a NO go for me.
Baker air wings I can see being adjustable and beneficial but have to give an arm and a leg for them and used ones in good shape do not come up to often for a reasonable price.
