Powder coated valve covers???

Hi Guys,
Has anyone taken off their valve covers yet? Are they difficult to take off?
I am thinking of getting mine powder coated black, so they would be off the bike for a while. Would I need a new gasket, or is the one on it reusable?
I have also been thinking of getting these one off eBay, but I am a little hesitant being that they are made in China. Although, the ones on our bikes were probably made at the same factory.

Let me know your thoughts.

I disassembled stuff down there enough to install a set of those
Rivco hiway pegs. It is "dry" back behind those covers,
they're not the real valve covers like on a 1500 Valkyrie.
The spark plugs are back there.

It's not difficult to take it off, I did it to change the spark plugs. Of course, I lost one of the six rubber buttons which protect the bolts but I'm the only one to notice
Following Robert, I bought a chrome front cover from China, cheap and solid

The valve covers come in 3 pieces the middle chrome strip the top and the bottom halves. The lower half covers the spark plugs the upper half is actually the valve cover. Easy to remove and put back not much different than the 1500. The gaskets are pretty thick and your bike is new enough that they should be pliable so you should not have to get new gaskets. A bit of black silicon on mating surfaces is not a bad idea on reassembly for insurance. The front cover I ordered from China was pretty good and I was thinking of the chrome valve covers so I doubt you would have a problem. The fit was good and the finish is not the best but not bad either. Look at the reviews and see if the company is reliable.

Thanks for the info Robert.
I think I will go with powder coating my existing valve covers. I just don't trust Chinese quality. Plus I think powder coating will be cheaper.
I am thinking of flat black to match the frame.

Great minds think a like Jerry.
You got them powder coated I presume? They look awesome. Did you get the chrome band done as well?
I will be really interested in seeing them on your bike.
