I just bought a 2000 blue and silver Interstate and the seat is a one piece seat....both driver and passenger seat is all one piece. is this a factory seat or an aftermarket...it pushes me forward towards the tank and is not comfortable at all

Factory is one piece as is my aftermarket Corbin. Other aftermarkets such as Ultimate are two piece

Thanks guys, whichever seat it is, it is downright uncomfortable and will be replaced in short order

I had the same problem. Stock seat was plenty soft but pushed me forward and just not a comfortable riding position. Bought an Ultimate seat and now ride at the right position and very comfortable. A back rest helps even more.

I took the seat off and it is a stock Honda one piece seat with studs on it....will be looking into the ultimate king real soon

I have the Ultimate king also and that's a good seat when you are taller and heavier than average. I had the backrest but got rid of it after a while because it pushed me forward. My advise, first try the king without the backrest.

The King is the seat to get...2 inches back and 1 inch up.  Do not forget the back rest!   A necessity for long rides.  If it pushes you forward adjust the screw.
