Progressive shocks

I have 98 tourer and just priced pregressive shocks has any one used those?  worth the money?  heavy duty or standard?  412's are the one I looked at.  better sugestions?  thanks.

Put the 412's on my '99 Standard and really like them, ride was greatly improved. I purchased the HD because my wife is with me a lot of the time, we are not big, maybe 310 combined. They are adjustable but a bit of a pain.

I have 444's on my Tourer, and they are very nice, but pretty pricey.  I think the 412's are the better deal for the money.

search past posts, much written.  most state 412s same as I/S shocks.  444s are more advanced and worth the money.

I asked the same question recently, it was suggested that the IS shocks were a good and economical option.  I was prepared to drop $500+ on a set of progressives but if a set of IS shocks can be had for about $100, why not try it.  I got a set from a member here and put them on a couple days ago. They are definitely stiffer, which is what I wanted. The stock tourer shocks were bottoming out on big bumps/curbs/dips when riding 2 up. It's been raining here, haven't had the wife out with me yet, but I have them set on 3, my tourer shocks were set on 4, they are much firmer. I think they'll do the trick.
