Raymond sent that 17 degree weather and thundersnow to NC to show us southerns what a winter looks like. After a few days I don't know how the Great White North Brethren, Sistren, and Heathens stay put up there.

Curled up watching our week of snow melt off the roof, I found Lisa A Dunn's Article in RoadBike "The Long Winter's Nap" was a fun read.
"The routine begins in late November: Feul Stabilizer? Check.  Tire pressure? Check. Batter Charger? Check. Tears? Double Check."
The article goes on to talk of playing Playstation to get the motorcycling fix from a game.  I have done that. Not quite the same. Perhaps I am not playing the right ones.
The article also goes over the winter routine of bike shows, sitting in dealerships, and finally unthawing the bike. I like the line about sitting on a dealership floor asking questions about the new year models just to get to sit on a motorcycle.  I like the ending where she recalls one year when her mechanic went on vacation, locking away her motorcycle, and she nearly broke in to steal back her own riding companion.

Fun read.
I have not read this mag in a while. Nice guest editorialist and a Moto Musuem article. That was the best of the entire mag. The bikes being tested didnot really catch my eye this time.
