My IS rear tire with 10K miles has  cracks  just like those shown below. WTH is going on?  I've never have had this happen before.

Just fer yuks and giggles what's the manufacturer date code on the tire? MAYBE a ply separation? RIDE SAFE.

Is there a lump or a bump near the cracking/cracks? What pressure are you maintaining in that tire? Did you perhaps hit a big pothole or pavement separation recently? Ya-i know-way more questions than answers! RIDE SAFE.

Now potholes. No lumps or bumps. "Religious"  bout maintaining 42psi front and 44psi rear. Thanks to you and others for the replies.

And no I am not an aggressive rider, tires just dont last that long. Funny thing I have the exact same tire size brand pressure (44 psi) as I had on my Street Glide, tang tire lasted 17k and still had a bit of tread the one on my Valk has About 5k and is over half worn out. Riddle me that.
