The petcock is leaking from the side with the rivets (not the rebuildable side) closest to the switch. Has anyone had this problem and tried to fix it by drilling out the rivets? Am I relegated to replacing the whole unit with OEM/aftermarket?

I did.  Drilled out the rivets replaced with small bolts, then said F this and replaced that leaking unreliable POS with a Pingle.  Not looking back.

I was afraid that drilling out the holes would just cause more headache and not a solution.. thanks for the info. Now I guess I need to price out some alternatives.
