Played hookie yesterday and made a boudian run.

We tried to go Monday on my day off but after 45 miles the bottom fell out and we made a mad dash for home ( still got our a#$ soaked). We had called ahead and had them freeae 30lbs. for us so it would make the two hour trip home ok. Well Tuesday the weather was much better so after a quick call to work we loaded up the interstate with insulated bags and headed to Lake Charles La. and the Market Basket store where JP gets his boudian. We didn't get to hook up with JP and sure wished we could have but, after a huge meal at Steamboat Bills we  loaded the contraband and bootlegged it back across the Texas state line and to the house.  250 miles round trip in six an a half hours a great meal  and 30lbs of boudian on a day I should have been at work  priceless.

My daugther and new huby already beat you on that question laying claim to half of the bounty.I 'm not sure when we can  have boudian  but Denise and I already finished off about two pounds. All I can tell you is light a small pit and I' ll bring the boudian.  We would love to share some grogeries and B.S with ya about your trip. Glad  you had a great trip.
