I'm just looking for a sanity check on some wiring I plan to do. I want to install 4" Amber LED strips, which will be 3M taped to the inside of my windshield on a Tourer, one on each side. They will be used as additional turn signal indicators for the rider (me). I know that the best place to get at the front turn signal connections is in the headlight bucket, so that's where I plan to make connections. The LED strips are 2-wire and will not be used as running lights. I should also mention that I have installed a diode kit (home-made using Radio Shack diodes) to the turn signal indicator circuit in the headlight bucket. My question is, can I just wire each LED strip into the turn signal wires for each corresponding side and expect things to work as is? I am guessing yes. The current turn signal bulbs  are incandescent OEM front and rear. I do have a Kuryakyn RTB module installed in the rear with a load equalizer. Also I am thinking about just using (1) LED strip on the middle / bottom of the windshield because the goal really is to remind me to turn off my turn signals. So I am guessing that the best way to wire that one strip would be into the diode enhanced turn signal indicator LED circuit (yes the current indicator is LED)....one wire to the ground in the bucket, and one to the turn indicator circuit. Does all of this make sense? Any potential gotchas I missed? Oh, and I plan to make this circuit quick-disconnect so I can remove my windshield easily.

If I was doing the project I would go with the 1 strip below the shield. Those LED strips are very bright at night Smiley

Good luck with the job.

Thanks. Yeah I didn't think of night brightness so you are probably right.

Should work as is with no problems. I put one on the rear of mine for extra brake light and did nothing but splice into the brake light wire.

Well, I don't think I'll miss my turn signals now. Smiley
