Hi Guys
got an issue with my front forks, the coating which looks like brushed aluminium is starting to lift, as I was cleaning it today big flakes of it were coming off near the triple tree.
could this affect the structural strength of the forks or is it simply where moisture has got underneath the coating[as per the wheels] also what are my options I know some people have had them polished but excuse my ignorance does that mean taking the original coating off anyway and polishing the metal beneath or should I be looking for another set of forks
many thanks in advance

Just the old oxidized coat coming off, won't affect the strength.  Elbow grease, fine steel wool and some metal polish will buff it off.
