HELLO

I JUST INSTALLED A CB THAT I GOT OVER EBAY. I INSTALLED USING THE OEM INSTALLATION GUIDE. I HAVE EVERYTHING INSTALLED AND WENT TO TURN IT ON AND GOT A "ER" MESSAGE IN THE AREA WHERE THE TX AND RX IS SUPPOSE TO BE.

ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS

I HAVE ALSO UNPLUGGED AND CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS AGAIN.

THANKS

BRENT

Might sound simplistic, but try cycling through the modes using the control box on the left handlebar. To be clearer, the button on the box that allows you to cycle through CB w/Radio, CB w/AUX, Radio only, AUX only, etc.

I have the Valk Bling and More modified CB and very rarely (once every 3 months) will I get the "ERR"... just cycle through the "modes" and it comes right back on.

I will get the ER sometimes when I have turned the bike off without turning off everything at the control first, I just turn off everything at the control box and then turn it back on and the ER is gone and everything is back to normal.

Your CB isn't getting power when the key is turned on.

The power for the CB comes thru the 3 pronged connector under the right side cover. The 3 wires coming to the plug are Red, Lt Green with a black stripe, and Green. The Red wire is hot all the time, the Lt. Green wire is hot only with the key switch on, and the Green wire is ground.

See if the Lt. Green wire with the black stripe is NOT hot when the key is turned on.

If it isn't simply put a jumper lead to another wire ( maybe in the 20 pin blue connector that's hot only when the key is switched on.
