Thanks, my GF and I are going to Inzane next year. Having just purchased the bike and winter closing in on me so longer rides are not practical. I am working on the bike over the winter to get ready. I want to make sure she is as comfortable as possible otherwise she isn't likely to want to ride as much... Since I don't wear boots with heels I need input from all of you. Thanks, Doug E

I have had passenger floorboards on my last 2 bikes. When I bought the Valk the wife keep bugging me to put the floorboards on. She loves them!

My wife has put up with the standard pegs for a long time now. She hates them for the long trips. I will be installing floorboards over the winter.

http://www.bikercom.com/shop/index.php?page=pp_producto.php&md=0&ref=8856In my opinion a lowering set for the footpegs is the best thing to do. My wife has done 75 000 miles on my passanger seat. The first rides 10 years back, she had to get off after a couple of hours to strech her legs and back....and repeadly about every 1,5 hours during the day. Then I got a tip about such extensions and installed them. I still have standard seat ( Valk, standard, 2001 ) but with these extensions I she sit comfortable until next coffee or gas station without a problem. The point is.. she now has a less "crampy " legs position, more of the butt & thighs touching the seat, better bloodcirculation and all in all feel more relaxed and comfortable . Such pegs are the first thing I buy for any bike I get !

My wife prefers floorboards regardless of heel size. You are wise my young friend. Getting them as comfortable as possible greatly improves both of your experience. I forget which seat you have. But if its stock and you can afford it I highly recommend a Russell or second choice an Ultimate.

But if its stock and you can afford it I highly recommend a Russell or second choice an Ultimate. I have the Ultimate seat, came with the bike. I have already put 2087 miles on the bike on that seat and I started feeling crampy on day 4 at about mile 1900. I have since relocated my pegs down an inch and forward and wow what a difference! My dad was amazed at how many miles I rode with the my feet on the hwy pegs. Well I hated the footpeg location. Thanks for the tips on the floor boards guys. Doug

The ones that are adjustable as up and down work well on the wings. Can lower and raise easy when want no wrenching. Not sure if they have them for the Valk

My girl friend loves the Kuryakyn transformer floor boards. They have a lift up peg. that and an ultimate seat with jell pad and backrest on my interstate, she's good to go.

My wife likes the boards, never wears high heels. Same boards for about 8 years.
It gives her the opportunity to move her feet to different positions.
She tried transformer boards, and now wants those. $$$$$$

Gotta agree with most the others. One of the best things I did for my wife's riding experience was going to floor boards for her. We had th large Kuryakyn pegs not the wings and she had a tough time getting on and off most of the time. Installed a set of midsized floor boards no problem getting on or off any more. Also they give her plenty of room to move her feet around

That's the same ones I have for my wife, she loves them and they have a good range of adjustment for different leg lengths and foot sizes.

At least 4 years ago I bought a set on here used just plain old cobra passenger floorboards for I think 150 bucks posted here in the classifieds. Had a few pits in them, but 90% new for 150 is better than 250 new. You can always install easy enough an air hawk type or gel seat cushion for the misses on back to give her an extra 1 inch or so height so not as cramped if she is a taller legged rider vs. buying more expensive adjustable floorboards. I have a set of cobras for her, for me (sort of pitted/chaffed after 15 years on bottom-who cares is on bottom not able to fold up), and 2 sets of hwy. pegs upfront for me as well for 3 levels of leg positioning for me. NO room for a 4th set....
