Bikers don't need shrinks!

Colleyville, TX

WWW
« on: October 07, 2016, 11:35:05 AM »

Ok, folks. Time to eat and trade stories again. We're having BBQ at the Ride for Kids, so what to eat? Mexican food, you say? That's a fine choice.

7:00 to whenever folks get tired of talking bikes and riding at the newest Blue Goose in town. This is the Blue Goose at Grapevine Mills http://www.bluegoosecantina.com/locations/grapevine-tx   so you can combine it with a Bass Pro stop before or after.  More importantly, Lucky Larry tells me it's good, easy to get in and they have some outdoor seating. Let me know if you're coming so I know how many seats to get.

Hope to see everyone Sunday and again on Thursday night. Bring your ride ideas for Thursday and we'll figure out where to go when we get back from the Hill Country.

And, just in case anyone is lurking, yes, out of town visitors are welcome!

Have to cancel. My father fell and broke his right hip last night  Embarrassed  and went to surgery this morning. I'll be on a flight to Georgia in the morning after my shift tonight. Maybe some other time.

Victor

They'll fix him right up.  But - make sure they keep the rails up on the bed and that someone stays with him overnight as the nurses don't always come to check on folks often enough.  I speak from experience.

Julie and I will see you folks there tonight. Looks like around 10 of us.

It's not too late for those who haven't committed yet and the rain is supposed to hold off until we're all home tonight. Come on out.

Also, if you have something interesting for show and tell, bring it.

Great turnout for Mexican food tonight. Thanks to Larry and Krys for grabbing a table early.  See many of you in Leakey.

It reminds me of the old joke “Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?”
It’s the sudden stop at the end that gets you!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. My father came through the surgery as best as can be expected for an 88 year old man. Now the physical therapy begins. He is in for some pain in the next few weeks. It's hard to see my dad in the condition that he is in. I hope and pray that he comes through this ordeal. Thanks again.    Smiley
