Gang:

I can find no indication of this on the factory fiche:  When mounting an OEM I/S trunk to the accompanying rear grab rails, do the spacers on the front-most connecting bolts go inside or outside of the L and R trunk stay?  Put another way, is it visible or hidden behind the stay?

I purchased the trunk and mounting brackets, had the former painted to match my 1998 Standard, and had Big BF do his "quick release trunk mod" on the stays.  The spacers were included on the then-stock grab rails - so I assume they're OEM (i.e., necessary).

In advance, thanks for fielding this less-than-provocative question. ???

The "T" spacers go outside. They're passed through the chrome ends of the Interstate seat hold-down strap.

Use a plain spacer in their place when running a two-piece seat.

Thanks, John!

These are regular spacers, so I assume the previous owner must have replaced the OEM I/S seat with a 2-piece unit - which is what I'm also running on my standard.  They should fit my application nicely!
