Anyone have any suggestions for after market or stock Honda BLACK master cylinders that will work with the Valk? Honda has several stock options for black, but I'm unsure of what may or may not work... Seems like most with a dual front disc would work, but would appreciate some input. I don't think any of the VTX 1800 master cylinders came in black, but it looks like the CTX 1300 parts would work. Thoughts? Thanks.

If yours are still in good working order or you could rebuild them and powder coat.

My front brake M/C was donated a little while back as I planned on going aftermarket at the time... At this point I'd rather purchase new black Honda parts than buying used, powder coating and rebuilding. Just a current preference.

My guess is that any Honda master cylinder with a dual disc front brake set up should work. Any thoughts?

1800 Valkyrie stuff fits right onto 1500 Valkyrie bars... I guess the only
question is do the ends on the 1500 lines match up with the 1800 MCs...

The main thing on master cylinders is that you get the same 14 mm piston bore size as the Valk so braking isnt effected.

Good info. Thank you.

Looks like the CTX1300 front brake master cylinder uses the same piston set as the original Valkyrie, the new Valkyrie uses a similar but different part number. However, the clutch master cylinder piston set for the CTX and the new Valkyries have a different part number than the original Valkyrie. I honestly don't know if it would make a difference on the clutch or not. You can't buy the piston itself separately, so the difference in part numbers could just be due different bushings, boots, or springs. It could also mean a different piston of the same size, a different size piston, or any other combination. I would think that if it works for the 1800 clutch it would work for the 1500 clutch, but I don't know what I don't know.... I could buy a piston set from the newer bikes and measure if necessary.

I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
