My brother sent my Green/Silver IS back home to me. He didn't like the car tire, big time, in the city. He also didn't like the seating position on the Valkyrie, as much as he liked the Shadow ACE Tourer's lower laid back feel.

For him, riding alone and the odd ride with his 90# soaking wet wife, he doesn't really need something bigger. Other than him still wanting a HD, to fit in more with his friends.

I don't know when or how, but was thinking of throwing a work party, to get some help in fixing up some of the deficiencies of the bike, and to swap the rear wheels of my 2 IS. The MC wheel off one bike, and onto the other.

I figure I would do it over at my mothers, and have some steaks for after.

Just in case someone is looking for a bike, I'm looking at selling the bike for $5500 when I'm done. 70K miles. I don't think it will be ready for at least a month. No time, and waiting for some nice weather. Will post the same on CL. I figure it will have more interest next spring, and I'll sit on it till then.

Tell you brother not to waste his money on a piece of crap HD. uglystupid2  If he doesn't fit in with his buddies with the ACE Tour, he'll never fit in  Cool  I once pulled up to a HD mechanic's shop to have his upholstry guy look at making some changes to my passenger seat. I could see the mechanic looking out his door at my bike. He finally came out the door and while walking out to my bike asked me what year my HD was. I didn't say anything, just waited until he got close enough to see the Honda emblem on the tank. "Damn" he said, "That Honda looks great"!!!

Tell your brother to keep his money in his pocket and just put a faux air cleaner and V&H pipes on the ACE. His buddies will love him then!!!   2funny

Let me know when you plan on working on your bikes. I'll give you a hand if I'm available.

Thanks Paul, I'll post when I'm ready to swap the rear wheels. I think having 2 crews, one on each bike, will make the job go a lot easier and faster. Need extra hands on the inner fairing screw fix.

I've done most of the little things today, since it was dry. Replaced the centre cover, the black one I still owe you $ for (and the piggies), but now need to figure how to fix the side covers. Seem the tabs are broken off. Might do the Velcro trick.

My bro always wanted a HD. I knew he would never have the money, so that's why I gave him my Shadow after getting the GW (he has since paid me for it). At least he can ride, and something reliable too. Nothings changed, he never will get an HD, still spends too much.

But he is seeing some return in his investment on his son. A Gold Cup in the PacWest Tournament.

His son is off to PEI Monday for another tournament. I think it's a National one this time. I'm not too much into sports of any kind.

I sold the Green IS yesterday. The new owner is Matt. I hope he'll find the time to drop by our monthly meetings or hook up with other for a ride.

So far he doesn't notice anything wrong about having the flatter car tire on the back. He likes it.
