Thought I would ask the experts here...I am new to the Valkyrie world. I just bought a 1999 Valkyrie CT with 24000+ miles on it...I enjoy the Highway bar on the front but would like to change the lights on it...It has the two separate Cobra bars with Wagner 4 1/2 inch 4449 sealed spotlights on it...I would like to keep the round look and mounting to the Cobra bars, but want to go to a H3 bulb or LED type bulb look...I need more light from the Highway bars...Any suggestions would be a great help...Thanks...!!!

Do a search for "Daymaker" LED lights. I believe they fit into the larger shell of the Cobra.

I just remembered that with these tractor bulbs, I had to use a multitool to cut the (hollow) protrusion in back down so they'd fit in the shallow Cobra housings. Filled that with silicone caulk and a JB Weld patch to keep water out. I've heard other 4.5" housings aren't as shallow as the Cobras.

Thanks...Gives me a better idea or something to look forward to...I have the shallow Cobra lights, so I am trying to stay with them...The windshield is close to these, so if I go any deeper, the shield and Lights will not work together...!!! Any more suggestions are appreciated. Ya'll are very helpful, Thanks...!!!

I just put a pair of h7616 sealed beams from Atlantalightbulbs.com , 37.5 w , not LEDS but much more affordable and brighter than the ones I had on my cobra light bar , no mod , exact fit, 5 min to install

I have a cobra highway bar with the stock shells. I had to do some modifying of the 4.5" LEDs to make them work. I can describe to you how I installed mine. I first cut the connector plugs off. I then modified the thick wiring harness down to just bare individual wires. There is no room in the light bucket for electrical connectors so I soldered the wires, and shrink wrapped them. Lastly I used a small piece of foam behind the light to prevent it from moving around. Thus far (3 months of riding) I have had no issues with the lights whatsoever. With all that said, they install well, seal up good, look great, and compliment the 7" fixture's LED lighting pattern while night driving. I am very happy with my setup not just for the improved lighting at night but because I am also more visible in the day.
