Will the exhaust off a 2001 Interstate bolt up (without modifications) to a 1999 Standard?

I know that the '01 exhaust tip will be horizontal.

It sure will. The only difference, as you said, will be the horizontal tips (which are longer then the Standard/Tourer tips).

they'll work great. I liked my interstate pipes. I liked how they looked,
and my opinion is that they are slightly quieter than std pipes,
I guess because the piggies are longer and the space inside
the tips is larger...



After a while I connected with a set of pristine std pipes and added a
set of triple tips to them (it's all good)...

I think I got mine from HDL... they have them... $170 or so... they come up on
eBay fairly often too, but not for much of a discount. They are only
for looks, the piggies don't match up to the tips... I like them.
