I must have lost one of the rubber/hard plastic tabs that go over the inside tabs of the lid to my I/S side bags.  Am sure I have put the cover alongside the side of the bags and put some minor scratches from that sharp tab resting on it without that rubber cover over the tab.

Anywhere you can get 4-5 of those push on protector covers for the inside tabs of the lid of the side bags?  I would think a place like Fastenal store would have something very similar that has a thin 1/2 inch slit in the middle to push over that tab?

Still available from mother Honda. Or at least they were last year I bought new ones for both my bikes cooldude cheap.
You could also get some rubber tubing that is small enough it has to be forced over the tab and leave it a bit long and would provide the same protection.

I would think you could also Plasti Dip the ends using the multi-purpose rubber compound.  After replacing yet another lost tab, I used a drop of CA glue to secure mine on permanently. (Well, I hope!)  Undecided

Now, what else do I need? Oh well. Back to the dealer for a quote.

I found laying around the house some colored rubberized silicone round end caps that fit over snugly over the side cover tabs inside of my I/S.  Not sure what they are called or what they were for, guessing bought them either in the automotive or electrical supplies at local store years ago.

something like this but come in bright colors no idea where I got them from but guessing any hardware store will have them maybe just have to get the right size?  https://www.amazon.com/50pcs-Rubber-Finisher-Thread-Protector/dp/B01G9Z5FG8/ref=sr_1_7?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1477447478&sr=1-7&keywords=round+silicone+rubber+end+caps

they are about 1cm wide, if that, and tad bit over 1 cm tall, and rounded top. They fit well and stretch width wise some, and am sure they came in a pack of them and  cost a ton less than 1.50 each at the stealership am sure of it.

I tried looking them up at farm and fleet store, but could not locate them but they do come in varied colors.
