Think I might like it once I get the shield on and some paint. Might have to redo my supports to make the fairing set up more but its not that bad. took it for a spin last night in the cold, windy, rainy air. I do know I hate riding without a windshield! The protection was great on my hands. No wind. Thx to ghostrider for some phone help!

Well i posted this without realizing I had a question! uglystupid2 I have it mounted, but can't figure out how to mount the shield. Its a 96 and doesn't have the 3 shield holes up top. Ghostrider suggested I mount it with the 2 mounting studs. So I sat and looked at it last night for a bit. If I do, the shield will be to 'in your face'. Plus I have HD fairing/windshield pouches that I really need on the bike. I use these just as much as my saddle bags. So I need to mount the shield a little more upright, if you will. I thought that if I turn the fairing up more I might be able to get the shield on the stud holes. But as it sets now it looks plum and a hair above the grips. I have different risers on. So what do you all do for your shield? I thought about putting 3 holes, in line with my pouches, in the fairing and using angle brackets bent back, to support the shield and pouches at my desired angle. I'd use some kinda decorative chrome studs in the fairing then. Not sure. Ideas are welcome. Love to see some pix. Archives had alot of red X's. Might have been outta date.
I mounted it to my bottom oem shield mount with some aluminum tubing and the 2 top studs down to my bars with some rubber p/cable clamps, till I get chrome ones. I didn't have to cut the light out as it fit pretty good against it.
