....Is that a Phoenix?

No, it is Super Santa.

Afraid that someone has given me a new Road Name of Super Santa.

Went down on the three sisters on Saturday.  Curves with a decreasing radius and gravel did me in.

Fantastic friends.  Special thanks to Mark (Rainmaker) and Kevin (Gitter).

After we got the bike up and pieces rounded up, I rode it about 25 miles back to Leakey.  After getting there concerned friends talked me into going to the emergency room.

Will know more later.  Taking pictures would have made some sick.

Rode her home today after Kevin removed the bones and skeletons from the bike, patched a large hole in valve cover, straightened the right engine guard, and duct taped the fairing back together.

Mark (Rocketman) followed me back to Houston within a quarter mile of my house just to make sure that I made it OK.

Another BIG thank you for my friends for assisting and caring enough to get me through it all.

Glad you made it through with minimal injury.
We figured if you could fly like that and jump up (relatively) uninjured, you needed a new moniker.

Ray glad you are ok. Bikes can be fixed people are much harder to repair. Call me if you want I'm  fixing to sell my red/black interstate. I'll make you a deal on it and you won't even have to repaint. Just a thought not trying to capitalize on your misfortune.  Heal quick and strong.

I was riding tailgunner, right behind Super Santa and I thought for sure he was gonna' need a helicopter ride out, but he pulled himself out from under the bike, brushed off his cape and declared himself OK.   Gitter heard my call on the CB and was first back from the main group.  You see, the bike was sitting on it's right side, tires in the air.  This was similar to a scene I'd had in Luckenbach a couple of years ago where my assistance resulted in my back surgeries.  So I was so happy to see Kevin show up.  He just grabbed the bike and picked it up like it was nothing, then rolled it around, down the road to make sure the oil had not crept into the cylinders and then rode it back up to Ray.  Afterwards, he patched up the bike with JB Weld and duct tape while Ray was at the hospital getting checked out.

While Ray is now "Super Santa", perhaps Kevin's handle should be "Hulk".

Kevin; great job, sir!!!

Glad you're OK Ray.  You would be the last person I'd expect to see a post about something like this...

Heal up and we'll see you down the road!

Wow, Ray, glad to hear you are OK.  So sorry you got hurt though.  Great friends in this group.

Take care, hope your bruises heal quickly.  Those tight radius and banked curves are tough.
