Or

If you are ever in the area of Oakwood, Buffalo or Centerville, look up FM542 and FM831. I'd venture  to say you would like these roads and any other route around that area. Buffalo Bend is on FM2665 near Livingston.
Had a wonderful 458 mile ride today, no fall colors out though. I guess its still a little too warm. It was a great day for riding.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

I was on FM 2665 at my deer lease yesterday. Lease is 2 miles from 146. Road use to be 65MPH and was real fun till the locals started flying off of it doing 100 mph. Now they made it 55. One of the DPS stopped me and reminded me when I was driving my Diesel truck to the lease late one night.

542 and 831 Yes. 2665 no. I agree some great riding in that area.

Had a wonderful 458 mile ride today...

Good on ya, Eli!

I find it mildly amusing that no one has yet commented on the casual mention of a nearly 500 mile pleasure ride.

When I was working in Pennsylvania, I was telling some rider officemates that the DFW VRCC did a 450 mile round trip for lunch one Saturday.  One said, "We'd have to ride through four states to do that!"

Gotta love Texas.
