Turn Signal Delay?
«

Having an issue with my turn signals. It seems like I have a delay in when the actually start blinking.
Some times it's immediate, some times it takes a while. Seems like it (the delay) always starts with the turn signal I'm wanting to blink will go dark and then eventually start blinking.
I'm thinking a relay problem but, I supposed it could be a ground. BTW, this is on an 02 Standard that has Kurkykian driving lights with built in turn signals. Both stock and add on turn signals have worked for several years. Now, not so much.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking a ground or a relay.

Have you checked your contact at the switch? Could be worn or dirty.

#2 on the switch.
Fiddly little sods to work on.
Have had that happen twice to mine.
Strip, clean and regrease though the last time had to adjust the contact bar as it was hanging up and making intermittent contact.
Cheers Steve

Appreciate the feedback, will look into that switch. Not real good with tiny little parts but, I'll check it out or get someone with the expertise to assist me. Thanks.

I redid the grease and cleaned the contacts on mine a little over 2 weeks ago. Fixed my signal delay immediatly. Took about 20 minutes and I was taking my time to not lose anything. Definitely a job that is doable for the less than average mechanic.
