Great to see Maris and Spoiler up from Houston for the DFW Ride for Kids.  Big thanks to you guys for your long trek to volunteer to help the kids and to our local VRCC volunteers like Chauffeur Dave and Norah, Jean (ok, not so local) & Wanderer.  And, drum roll please..... Big BAD David came out, volunteered and represented the VRCC on & off stage, walker and all. He also brought his sexy nurse with him.  That's dedication to some kids who really need some help.  Thanks so much for making a difference!

Great food and fun with our Houston riders on Saturday night.  Who knew Frank could use food to be so enticing? And, now our world traveler Maris has seen the lights, Mexican food and margaritas of Grapevine.  Yep. Big fun.

You out of towners, let us know when you get home safe.

ps to Rose and Kim. Good to see you. Hoping to see that Valk/Sidecar next year.  Wink

It was so nice meeting the Dallas folks and for such a good cause! It took Frank and I about 6 hours to get back to H-Town. Lots of traffic and rain. The event was amazing and the turn out in spite of the weather was awesome! I hope to see lots of VRCC faces at the Houston RFK in the Spring!

What a great time with good friends and afantastic cause! As usual I had a blast seeing old friends and being there for Celebration of Life. I was glad to see so many folks brave the weather and come on out. It was LadyBugs first time out and she's ready for next years ride! She's quite a great backseat photographer too !

It's gonna take much more than some drizzle and a fractured pelvis to keep me away from the Ride for Kids event in my own backyard.

Houston 2010 is inked on my calendar.  Hoping to add a couple more R4K rides to the 2010 schedule...   Wink

What a great day for the kids! The Valk club was the 3rd place club with over $13K in donations thanks to a leg up of over $5K from a Waco Valk sympathizer.

Thanks so much to all of you that stepped up to support our local brain tumor "Stars". Major cyber hugs for Maris and Frank for your dedication to the kids and the cause! Making the trek from Houston with less than good motorcycling weather is much appreciated!

TJ might have had about the same miles and probably some wind too? Nice cap! I hope you will come in Saturday next year, TJ.

I'd like to echo SideCar's comments from the stage with regard to the great leadership example we have in David Garb not only as our Prez, but as a Ride For Kids volunteer obviously dedicated to helping the kids throughout the year, rain or shine, busted butt and all!

Some old hands...

We should probably be passing the hat for Roy's scuba gear. He is obviously in way over his head!

As close as we got to having a rainbow at Sunday's ride...

Local news coverage of our seventh annual Ride For Kids

Please save the date, October 3rd, for our eighth event. If you would like to join in the volunteer fun, feel free to jump in! ~Jeff
