Thanks Mike, Renting a cabin and the wife got up there yesterday. No smell of smoke she said at this time far enough south maybe. I've been watching the news of the fires closely. Some cold mornings now until Tuesday, it looks like it will stay dry in the SE region'forva while still.
Best regards,

Good luck... I'm 100 miles from there. There's more than one big fire, but the
Lake Lure/Chimney Rock one is the biggest. It is windy this weekend, that helps
a lot. We're clear as a bell here today, but most days for the last couple of weeks
have been like this:

Yep Mike that's how it was today in Ashville.  Sad  We went to the Biltmore today and it was the smokiest today so far. When we got back to the Lake Lure area it was clear.  coolsmiley Have a Great Thanksgiving!

We've been pretty good since I saw your post, but the South
Carolina fire has grown to be almost as big as the giant
Tellico fire in Tennessee...

Glad you've had some clear days, they showed on the news that
some of the Chimney Rock businesses had even reopened...

Well I got home today from my Thanksgiving Holiday in WNC. I took my time coming home leaving yesterday around 10 am. It was a great decision to take the IS on this ride.  Wink The mornings were a little cool so the fairing was needed. The smoke stayed away for most of the trip except on Wed. In Ashville while visiting the Biltmore; what a place!  Shocked
Look forward to the next ride......  coolsmiley
