Is there any way to make the stock mufflers louder without screwing them? i dont know if those come with baffles that can be removed.

you can cut the piggies off...the piggies are the pipes at the end of the muffler that run out to the end of the pipe.  Leave enough room to sweat a coupling in case you dno't like the sound.  I have the pigs cut and a slash cut cover on mine and it has a nice sound.  It doesn't drone too bad on the highway.

Depends on what screwing entails, but in a word,  NO.

Stock baffles can not be removed without a least a little screwing and then if you want to put them back you are really screwed because the little screwing that you do as a general rule cannot be undone.  LOL.

There are aftermarket pipes, however, that have removable baffles that can be taken out and reinstalled as often as you like.  Making the amount of screwing and unscrewing very minimal to change them back and forth.

As another option, the stock pipes, with very extensive screwing, and going through a long assortment of different positions, can be sufficiently modified that they can be back fitted with removable baffles.

I hope this helps, if not I hope it at least makes you smile, I know I did.

Click the Shoptalk link at the top of the page and you can read all about how to alter the sound out of your pipes.  I have my piggies cut and rear baffles drilled, love the sound.

Here's everything you need to know about screwing with your exhaust yourself.......

....and if you want to go further and remove the rear baffles (it's called the Ragnar Cut)....

Basically, the first thing you can do is cut the piggies.  Try that and see what you think.

The second mod you could make is after cutting the piggies, then drill out the rear baffles.  Again, try that.

Those two mods produce a very nice sound IMHO, however, not really all that loud.....nowhere near Harley loud.

If you want Harley loud, then you can remove the rear baffles.  That's called the Ragnar Cut.  The instructions are in my post above.

You can go one step further by drilling the front baffles, but then you're getting into having to shim your carbs if you go that far.
