In recent posts, people mentioned that if you are not happy with your Corbin seat that you can return it to them for adjustment. I was not aware you could do this.  I have had my Corbin seat for 2 seasons. I find to be almost as "hard" as the OEM seat. I love the looks of it, but it lacks in comfort. I can actually feel a small hard lump in the middle?? Have any of you returned your seat for additional padding?  If so, how did it turn out? I read on my Corbin invoice that in some cases you may have to pay for a new cover, I wonder what that costs??

I let Mean City Cycles adjust my OEM seat for $150. They made it firmer. and it is much more comphy now. The OEM padding is so soft you wind up sitting on the seat pan making you think it is hard. Seats and wind shields are a tough fit, what works for one doesn't work for the next guy.

How much of the foam did they replace? I've had a couple of other seats done by them, and at the time they trimmed off about 2" and replaced it with firmer memory foam. I was very happy with the results both times. Did they do any other re-shaping?

I bought the seat new. Returned it. They agreed to build another seat from scratch  to my specks softened  it fixed the tight fit to alow removal of side covers. Seat is OK but I am spoiled from having a Russell on my VTX. Still thinking about sending in the original seat for Russel. Corbin seat was much improved though. Took them 3 months to make seat. crazy2  if you can afford it Russell is the way to go. If you get it scheduled they will do it in about 2 weeks. Good luck.

Corbin made me a new thicker backrest, no extra charge, to move
me a little more forward... right to where I need to  be. Now I'm
sitting "out of the sweet spot", they've said I can send the seat
back and they'll move the sweet spot forward:

I think they are an awesome company to work with, nothing looks
better than this seat, and I like its comfort better than any other
seat I've tried, the OEM, Psycho's beta-Ultimate and another custom
seat I sat on at InZane this year.

That said, my Russell build date is Jan. 2  Wink

They firmed it but I don't kmow how much foam they replaced, slightly widen, some padding removed down middle like a bicycle seat. looks not much different from OEM. Much improved but prolly not as comphy as others. I don't know how much better the others can be for 4-5 hunerd more.

Mean City Cycles is only about 60 miles from my NC place so it was worth it to give them a try. $150 + 12 bucks in Smart car gas for pick up and delivery.

So funny how we are all so totally different. The Stock Corbin is A+ for both me at 230 lbs (just big boned dude and happy at the weight) and A+ for the passenger.  A couple 440 mile days two up and not one ounce of soreness on a week long trip.   Funny the Corbin for the 1500, not so much   uglystupid2  crazy2

Does the Corbin move you back, forward or no change? Also, what about reach to the ground? I have been thinking about getting one.

I don't know the answer right off hand, but I do know that you can call Corbin and tell them what you WANT it to do.  They will custom form it to your specs at no extra charge.

I feel it moves me back a little bit. I feel it is a lower seat and I am closer to the ground.

You can talk all day about seats and experience is different with each person. All I can say is if you ride a bike with a Russell seat for say 100 miles to get the feel and experience you will never go back. Her is a video about a Russell seat on F6B
