Is there some place I can go or could someone post a couple of close up pictures  of foot pegs on a Standard Valk?

I bought a '99 this w/e and it has floor boards on the front with a kinda strange heel/toe shifter. It sits about 1" higher than the floorboard and is tricky to use.  I like floorboards but am not crazy about any h/t shifter.  (The last couple of bikes I had I almost took a hacksaw and did away with the heel part, didn't though once I found out how much these things cost) I'm good with a toe shifter and I think all I got to do is unbolt the shifter and remove it, but I'd like to see, or at least a picture of, how the original is set up.

The rear pegs now are a couple of chrome "Eagle claws/feet" things that just aren't my style.  The wifes feet keep sliding off, she's not crazy about them either.  The seller gave me a box of goodies that he has taken off the bike and the rear pegs are there but just the pegs not the swivel mounting bracket, or so I think not.  There is a couple of brackets but the pegs won't fit in them, unless I'm looking at it wrong.

I've been looking at pictures of the bikes here (which isn't a bad thing at all) trying to find a good picture but to no avail.

Thanks

The shifter peg is a direct aftermarket replacement, but otherwise the foot peg and shifter are the stock function and location.

Thanks vanagon40.

Looking at this picture the pegs that came in the box might be the front, they look like these.  You wouldn't have a picture of the rear by chance...?

I like your forward pegs.  My bike has some but they are mounted on the top of the engine guard.  I tried to use them but it was totally uncomfortable for me.  Where did you get yours?  What brand?

Here are a few pics that might help. When I get home I can take some pics of my bike.

I might be interested in your claw pegs if you are selling them, do you have pics?

I can definatly get some.  I'll keep you in mind if I decide to get rid of them which I probably will.  It will be awhile though (couple of months maybe) this is a project bike but the wife and I still get on it and ride it around the neighborhood, like tonite.

Thanks for the info, it looks like I have the front pegs.  Looking at the pictures the mounting bracket for the pegs is bolted to the plate that bolts onto the frame.  I don't have that plate except for the one that is on the bike now with the claws.  May have to do some "bohemian riggin".

The highway pegs are Kuryakyn 7966 pegs, with 1 1/8" clamps.  The clamps are actually the size of the curved bar, not the straight horizontal bar.  But, after trying numerous locations on the curved bar (and finding none satisfactory), I moved the pegs to the current location which is almost satisfactory.  I think it is as good as it gets for me.

I used a piece of thin walled PVC pipe as a shim to get the 1 1/8" to fit the 1" bar (and added a little Gorilla Glue for good measure).

I paid $108 for the pegs from HDL in 2007 (free shipping then), but I see they are $131.39 plus $7.50 shipping (unless the total order is over $200) now.

(I do not have pictures of the rear pegs, but it seems you have the info you need.)
