Around here, Mr. Obama's opinion has little impact on anything except Saturday Night Live possibly.

Funny, I missed out on that poll.  And, I think both Vlad and Obama are asses.

A recent poll found a quote from OBama?????? Didn't know polls worked like that!  I've got one for you, a recent poll found that democratic voters spend more time with their head up their ass than they do looking at what really going on around them. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this poll.

Said the President that divided a nation. A shameful legacy.

With the accuracy of the polls being conducted, why even mention them? I'm sick of polls and links to news items that have no credibility anymore. I don't need some talking head to tell me the sun is shining when I can look out the window to see for myself. As far as what Obama says, you can keep your doctor and you can keep your plan, ya right. As just average American citizens something should be getting under our collective skins, with the constant barrage of crap that is being promoted by the so called celebrities calling for the electors to go against the states votes. Whew, I could go on but I need a drink.

As far as what celebrities say, it means squat to me and I'm not sure why it means anything to you. As far as the poll, it doesn't really mean much either. But it does give some insight to the thinking of a 1/3 of the Republicans polled. I don't understand how anyone could approve of Putin. He has journalists who disagree with him killed. He has poisoned opposition . I started noticing the trend of some conservatives liking him a while back. It seems to have a lot with his projection of strength and virility. There were many pics of him riding horses without a shirt and pics of Obama doing something unmasculine. Some of my conservative friends just went gaga over that kind of stuff. I don't get it, but I'm trying to understand it. Saying that democratic voters spend time with their heads up their asses is basically saying you don't care about half of our society. Maybe that's how you feel. I don't know, but I hope not. I've always felt you brought some valid points to the conversation in the past.

My lord, I sincerely hope you don't really believe that crap about riding horses shirtless or Obama hanging curtains.    Expecting that half (you're talking about) of the country to carry it's own weight and get off the coat tails of those who are pulling their share of the load has a lot to do with Obama for me, his transparent administration is another and the list goes on, won't speak for anyone else.   As far as Putin goes, I don't necessarily care for or like him but, he's shown more leadership for Russia than Obama could even comprehend.   He's pro-Russian, I can understand that.   Obama, has proven himself to not be pro-American.

Its pretty easy to show leadership when you are a dictator in a society as Russia's. I'm sorry you think Obama is anti-American. It seems abundantly clear to me he loves and cares about America deeply. It may not be the politics you agree with. But I think there is no doubt his love for his country. Why is it that conservatives think it is just liberals who are riding on coat tails ? I'd be willing to bet the Iced Tea you owe me that there are more than a few Republicans receiving Food Stamps, Welfare, Corporate Welfare.

I maybe incorrect but, I thought I said I'd buy you an Iced Tea or cold one.   Still very willing to do so.

Owe?   Interesting choice of words, therein may be the problem  (with the masses) the other half implied.   I may have said, I owe you one, I honestly don't remember.   But, what I meant was, I'd be happy to share a cold one, iced tea being my suggested drink and sit and converse with you.    I apologize for any mis-communications.   If that's what I said, I sincerely regret that phrase due to any misrepresentations it may portray.

I don't pretend to have the answer but, it might have something to do with all the media spin and Dem attempts to sway the Electoral College.   Many (speaking for myself) are fed up with Obamaism, Pelosism, Reedism and all the BS that went in to forcing things down our throats.   "They'll have to pass it to read it" BS.    The illegal alien issue, Obama Care, the "#Not My President BS and so on.

Eight years ago, we accepted Obama as our President and he led us down  a path we didn't like, then the Dems offer up ObamaII, Clinton.   The nation spoke, enough is enough.   I don't care for or really like Trump but had no other choice.   Trump hasn't even taken office yet and he's condemned by the Dem leadership versus looking for opportunities to work together.

Trump and the Republicans won and won big time.   We're all just waiting for that to sink in and see what can be done to straighten out the mess Obama and the Dems put us into.    To show you how much the Dems in Congress learned from this election, they voted Pelosi back into a leadership role.   I mean really, how stupid do you have to be to do that?   She led them to their demise, failure to learn from history dooms one to repeat it.   I'm dumbfounded by the democrats trying to upset the Electoral College.   This crap just keeps rolling on with out any breakers.

Again, Trump isn't, wasn't and would never be someone I'd vote for, unless my only option was an Obama II (Hillary Clinton).

My perspective as it relates to the poll.

What football team are you a fan of? Let's say you are a rabid fan of the Broncos. Die Hard fan. Broncos everything. Even decorate for Christmas in Bronco colors, paint your face for games and otherwise pretty insane about the Broncos.

Your nemesis is the Kansas City Chiefs. You cannot stand them. They drive you over the edge. You even take your Bronco fanaticism up a couple notches while most folks think it cannot be possible.

The Chiefs beat your beloved Broncos. Beat them badly. The Chiefs go on to the playoffs and make the Super Bowl.  They dominate the game. Their QB passes for record yardage, rushes for record yardage, throws five TD passes and rushes for one TD against an opponent that was 1st in the league in Defense.

How would you describe the QB of the team that is your nemesis?

Russia is our Nemesis. Putin is the leader. He is bold and brash like I would expect a Russian leader to be. Responsible for death and destruction? You bet. So are the leaders of the United States. Good or Bad? Kind of depends on perspective. Putin's responsibility is Russia. His performance as a leader has outpaced that of our own President.

I guarantee the world fears Putin.

It can be said Hitlers leadership outpaced Roosevelts. It can be said Stalins leadership outpaced Trumans. None the less I will stick with American leadership regardless of who it is. Ruling with an iron fist is not always best.

I am certain that Roosevelt and Truman had great respect for the abilities of Hitler and Stalin to move and lead an entire people and nation. Had they not, we'd be speaking German for sure and there would be alot more Russian spoken around the world too.

Such is the point I am trying to make. I don't respect the Iron Fist. But you must realize and respect the ability and prepare for it.

Putin has great leadership abilities. Don't approve of what he does with them.

A recent poll found a quote from OBama?????? Didn't know polls worked like that!  I've got one for you, a recent poll found that democratic voters spend more time with their head up their ass than they do looking at what really going on around them. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this poll.

Look at the post again, the 1st quote was from the poll (Politico) the second about Reagan was
Obama's. Some of you might want to remove your heads from your...never mind. I give up.

I just simply reject the poll. A 1/3 of republican voters approve of Putin. Give me a break, no way that is true.

Jesus Christ ! What is getting into you guys ?

I said the democrats remark as a joke that I thought you would be the first to pick up on. It's as valid as the 1/3 poll is. If you have conservative friends who went gaga over Putin it could explain why you have a problem understanding me. You probably have some female conservative friends but you may need to do a ball check for the males. I can assure you that Obama didn't give a rats ass about at least 1/2 our society and he was in a much more influential position than I will ever be. The same can be said for Hilliary and she wasn't shy about saying just that with her deplorable remark. I have way more conservative friends than liberal friends and none from either camp has expressed approval of Putin. Putin is like dog-crap on your shoe, it stinks at first and if you don't get rid of quick it gets harder to get rid of and it's hard to deal with without getting your hands dirty.

There was a not too distant time right here on this board that people were gushing over Putin. I suspect it was and is close to 1/3 here.

A recent poll found “Over a third of Republican voters approve of Vladimir Putin, the former head of the KGB,” Obama said. “Ronald Reagan would roll over in his grave.”

OK I'll bite.

Got a link to the poll questions?
Got a link the questions / question was asked of each person polled?
Got a link to each individual person asked in the poll?
Got a link to each individual answer?
Got a link to the poll results?

Why is the poll you refer to any more valid than those stating Hillary would be voted President?
You do remember they were in the majority?

You need to back that up with cold hard facts right now.

A 1/3 of the the forum members?

Can you?

I doubt it.

Looking forward to your  deflection and/or distraction.

I'll try to make it easy for you.

You post proof that 50 forum members were gushing over Putin in the last 10 years.

To make it more interesting why don't you qualify your statement by telling us what you would describe as a gushing .

If, after this election, anyone still believes in polls or accurate, truthful reporting by the media, what will it take before you realize you must obtain your facts and form your own opinions from those facts you find, not parrot the opinions of others or based upon internet "facts"?

Who among us does not want America to be great?  Or great again?  The populace, us, whether democrat, republican, or independent, liberal or conservative, love our country.  We have different opinions on how to help better the USA.  Splitting into 2 camps and bringing up bullshit facts by both sides deflects us from our greater need - to come together and work to make this a great place to live for us, our children and our progeny.  To help where we can and know where we can't.

This continual one-upmanship by people just tears down our country.  Let's find common ground, listen with open minds to what the others are saying and then come to a consensus on what we should do together.

Being right does not mean being petty.  Being strong does not mean being spiteful.

Lincoln famously said  "a house divided against itself cannot stand".  I'd like this country to stand a lot longer.

Gushing?   Hmm, I must have missed that one.

Never said I liked or approved of Putin, said he had displayed more leadership than Obama could even think about or something like that.   There is a difference ya know.  Wink

I'm not a big fan of Putin, but I like him a lot more than zero (and his whole crowd).

I don't believe the poll, and I believe nothing of what zero ever said (ever).

I do believe it's possible a third of republicans like Putin more than zero (and his whole crowd).

Course, I like cholera better than zero (and his whole crowd).

Admiring Putin is another thing.

As far as Regan goes, if he's up there watching, I bet he's as pleased and hopeful for our Country as all right thinking Americans are today.

One thing about Putin....he has Cojones! O'Idiot? Not in this lifetime.
You would not see him riding a bicycle in one of those little helmets like O'idiot does or ride a pink girl's bike like horse face John Kerry does in Diamond and Silks newest video.

No jesting. It's a shame we can't conduct a scientific poll on here.

I agree with you. But I think there are some who feel differently about everyone wanting America to be great.
