My dad ordered the digisync for us to have and of course upon arrival we had to test it out. We both synced our carbs and all seemed fine.

I live in Portland and we have been under a cold spell so I thought I would show the dragon some love and let her breath a bit of fire. Well I just couldn't get her started under full choke at about 28 degrees.

I eventually got her to sputter with no choke and then she came to life under full choke. Then she just wasn't as smooth as I would expect. So I grabbed the digisync after the bike was hot enough to have the fan kick on. Hooked up the digisync and all cylinders were high compared to number three. So I re synced everything. Checked the sync at 2k rpm and 3k rpm (yes I know this isn't perfect) but the gauge and vacuum all looks perfect now.

In fact the idle was initially at 1037 +- and once sync was done the idle went to 1184 and I had to turn it down. The bike this morning after a cold soak last night started right up under full choke and is just buttery smooth. I was absolutely amazed at the difference once those carbs are basically perfect.

When I do a sync, I usually raise the rpm to about 3000 then lower it fairly quickly to idle; I think this exaggerates any small differences. I managed to get mine within a couple digits on the DigiSync doing this, and it couldn't run better.

Last October I realized I needed to pull the carbs on my '99 cruiser for a long over due cleaning. After watching a few YouTube videos, the overall job was not that bad. She ran like new when finished, but another issue rose it's ugly head. Fuel rail leaks!! After reading some of the comments on here about letting the bike sit and let the O ring swell, it seemed to work, for a while, but it didn't last. So I ordered the O ring kit from Red Eye and replaced fuel and air rail rings, a total of 18 O rings. Took her out yesterday, no more leak!! But now I've got rough idle and low speed roughness. High speed rocks, so I believe I need to sync the carbs. So I ordered the Digisync, hope to have it this week. Sorry for the long winded post. I will update..
