I was looking for a timer relay to limit the time the fuel pump runs on Jade.  Found this timer.  Solid state, configurable with 21 functions, tiny, very versatile, great reviews, very well documented and a great value at $12 via ebay. Timing ranges from 0.1sec to 100,000,000sec - that's 3.17 years!  To set the duration - in config mode you ground the white wire for the time you want - I needed 9 minutes for the pump so it stops just before it runs out of fuel.  Might take a while to program the 100Msec interval! (OK it has an hr/min/sec mode for programming long times.) Originally intended to provide a brake flasher (based on the web site name), if you need a relay with a versatile timer, this is the one!  I bought a couple - clearly I'm going to get several more.

From their docs:

"Multi-functional Timer delay module is a revolutionary circuit with many commonly used timer delay functions. It is perfect for many applications from hobby to industrial controls. The timer has more than twenty different timing functions with ability to trigger them by application of input voltage or opening/closing trigger signal. The timer delay module can be used for hundreds of various applications from delaying power to the circuit, supplying power in cycling fashion, creating self-latching timed circuit or activating power based on day/night by adding the external photo sensor. The timer delay module is easy to connect and configure. All the configurations are permanently saved in internal flash memory. The timer delay works with 5v to 20v supply voltage and can supply up to 5amp/10amp of current, which makes it applicable to a variety of applications. Maximum current can be extended with the use of external relay."

Here's a link to the manual: http://www.3rdbrakeflasher.com/documentation/Multifunctional_Timer.pdf

I put it in a plastic box and added a couple momentary switches and a toggle and LED for configuring,  rewired the toggle on the handlebar control panel to arm it (power) and another momentary up there as trigger.  I wired it to trigger a relay which powers the fuel pump - even though this timer supports 5amp load (and they have a 10amp version), I already had the relay in place and wired so that was easy and keeps the load off of this timer. Now, no more running the fuel pump dry because I forgot to turn it off!

I bought the same one to use as a timer for my turn signals. I haven't tried yet, but it's on the list.
