You mean the tax cuts that kicked off the economic boom of the 90's that only Bill Clinton's policies was able to halt? Smiley

I have to say, Serk, that I have never heard anyone make that claim before.....

Which did you have a problem with, the peace or the prosperity?

No, that couldn't be right.  That would make him a liberal.  I'm pretty sure the Serk is not a liberal.    Smiley

I always know I'm libertarian'ing correctly when I get called a liberal and a conservative in the same day...

Bonus points when I get the same person to call me both!  2funny

Yes it is. But I doubt anybody can spin the Iran/Contra scandal and the ballooned deficit as good.

I won't defend the Iran/Contra thing, but the deficit had a purpose under Reagan, and it worked. The deficit went up because we were outspending the Soviet Union on military, to cause them to fail.

It worked.

And as I said, at least THAT deficit spending had a purpose, unlike Obama (pbuh)'s DOUBLING of the national debt in his 8 years at the helm...

But as we said, perception... To some good is evil and evil is good... Who's who is up to the reader. Wink

Being you are just a youngster, I'm cutting you a little slack on this. But the debt TRIPLED under Reagan. It was partly due to the Defense spending you refer to. But is was mostly do the tax cuts for mostly wealthy that really did most of the damage. Some even called his policies VooDoo Economics.  coolsmiley

Actually revenue went UP after the tax cuts. The problem was Congress increased spending dramitacally, and Reagon did not veto it.

I really wish we could see the list of area codes dialed up for this poll.

The results tend to make me believe this was a "Blue" Code Poll.
