There was an old adage that says if you're not part of the solution you are part of the problem.

I always thought it was "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate."  Wink
That hurt my pea brain trying to figure it out.  Wink

Must everything get turned against Obama ?

In the world known as the VRCC, that answer would be yes. I honestly think it's gotten worse on these pages than before the election.
Not going to change.  Now things  will be blamed on the democratic minority undermining all Trumps brilliant efforts.  That or the evil Hildabeast bitch acting as puppeteer controlling things from afar. Or the incredibly biased liberal media. Externlization.  It will be interesting listening in for the next few years.

Will probably mimic what we've been hearing for the last 8 years.

How soon they forget.  EVERYTHING was Bush's fault.  Everything was the republican's fault.  We heard the words Racism, Sexism, etc, over and over again.  The entire right side was deemed racist for disagreeing with Hussein, EVERY TIME.  We heard republicans being called terrorists, and holding the country hostage.  We heard democrats in congress say republicans can go to hell.  We heard govorners say there is no place in their states for republicans.

And now before the guys even in office, he's being blamed for everything racial thing going on the country.  We're hearing he's the one who is dividing us.  That's a laugh!

You know something, you liberals/democrats/progressives/etc. are so full of $hit and hypocrisy.
An awful lot of generalizations in there my friend.

I've stayed out of this "discussion" to see how Ford handles this.

IMHO, this is a very good move but, if I was Ford, I would have tied this to UAW stipulations to limit the union at the proposed facility.    IMHO, if the UAW wants those jobs to stay in the US, they need to give some.   IMHO, the UAW has way too much control of auto companies.

Ford has an opportunity to do something here and I hope they do.   BTW, I'm not anti-union but, unions have way too much influence and are a major reason Mexico looks so promising to those that build and produce there.

I agree with Mike Rowe,  if you nay sayers and haters of walmart dislike them so much, do not shop there, but think of the millions of American employed because of Walmart as well.   uglystupid2

just saw on the news that Trump is also on GMs case for building some chevy cruze cars in Mexico warning GM if does not change will be heavily taxed.  Good for him,  sick of the Big 3 building cars outside the US more and more, even now China, just to save a buck.  Make that buck cost two bucks and bet all car mfgs. think otherwise.  Good for Mr. Trump!   cooldude

Trump needs a time delay on his twitterer machine....and maybe fact check before he pushes the button.

You mean like this fact from your link?

This was news to some. How could this be possible? Moreover, GM CEO Mary Barra is a member of Trump's economic Strategy and Policy Forum. Surely she wouldn't countenance any attempt to make America less great and more poor.

"All Chevrolet Cruze sedans sold in the U.S. are built in GM's assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio," the company said in a statement sent to media outlets. "GM builds the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback for global markets in Mexico, with a small number sold in the U.S."

Of the 190,000 Cruzes sold in the US last year, 4,500 were hatchbacks made in Mexico, CNBC reported. GM did not immediately respond to CNET's request for comment on the hatchbacks' tax status.

He could have tweeted,  "Chevy Cruzes are made in Mexico because of Muslim outrage over an internet video." and then you could justifiably question his accuracy.

I don't believe he claimed ALL Cruzes are made in Mexico.

I see you missed my point entirely. I included that article so it would state the facts about where the cars are built.

If you read trump's tweet ( I can't believe I have to say that), he says the Chevy Cruze is built in Mexico.

Quote:“General Motors is sending Mexican made model of Chevy Cruze to U.S. car dealers-tax free across border. Make in U.S.A. or pay big border tax!” Trump wrote on Twitter Tuesday morning.

As read, it's true. But the facts are purposely left out. He conveniently doesn't say, 'A small percentage of one particular model of the Chevy Cruze is imported to the US from Mexico. All the rest are made right here in Lordstown, Ohio'

Because that wouldn't play like he wanted it to. He's throwing out chum for everyone to keep their blood up, creating conversations just like this.

And kudos on the video connect.... Roll Eyes

For starters the quote is not only factually correct but correct in spirit as well. The point isn't that GM is making cars in Mexico. The point is that the ones they are importing into the US market are coming in tax-free.

Yes. My guess is that he'll first privately have a discussion with the CEO. If that goes nowhere, on to twitter. Make his views known to the people. The people will then make their views known the particular company. Likely in the marketplace.

When the company brings the jobs back or  makes a future investment in this country publically known he'll tweet an "atta boy" for everyone to hear.

Well I guess that's an improvement over tweeting at 4 am because of a news article.  cooldude
