Growing up I listened to people like Loretta Lynn, Skeeter Davis, Tom T. Hall, Johnny Cash
and I saw Tanya Tucker in concert before she was old enough to drive a car! Eventually
I started listening to rock because I got tired of hearing "love gone wrong" songs. I still
like the overall sound of old country, but I'm not wild about the "twangification" of the
guitar. Most country songs are just not fertile ground for a guitar solo. Same for the steel
guitar, as long as it's kept in the background it's ok. But the other day I was near a radio
playing classic country, and they played a band I had forgotten. I loved this woman's voice!!
It's kinda like the country version of Stevie Nicks. Too bad they couldn't keep the group
together. Fame and fortune takes it's toll, I guess.
Another of my favorite songs. This one don't have video, just music!
