Anyone using a memphis shades "Bullet Fairing" on their Valkyrie? They don't make one specifically for Valkyrie. I'm raking mine 6 degrees and think having one wold be a great idea. Maybe a HD road king bullet fairing could work? Any ideas??

Road king  fairing will work but is a frame mounted fairing and brackets will have to be fabed.
Bronx boy on the Fla board has one on his bike.

Bronx boy has a frame mounted road glide fairing not a road king. You can fork mount road king style fairing on the Valk, many have them, I have one on my tourer.

I've been considering this one. Smaller than the full HD fairings.

THIS is a Bullet Fairing by Memphis Shades, I think on a lowered, boobed Valk, it would be great! They just dont make one for Valk so I wonder IF anyone has modified one to fit..

Two issues.

First, the mount to frame/forks and/or handlebars would be fairly easy to adapt from existing Memphis aluminum mount hardware (spacers if necessary are easy to fab from aluminum flatstock). Note the valk's forks are big and fat.

Second, the std/tourer valk headlight is large (aftermarket windshield mfgrs do either a 7 or 9" headlight cutout for valks.... I have interstates, so not sure).  But if the headlight cutout is too small, I think you are out of luck.  Doing a perfectly round and seamless cut to enlarge that cutout is not in MY wheelhouse anyway.  Although a ragged edge could be dressed up with auto parts vinyl edge trim. And some auto glass replacement outfits can do some pretty nice side work for you.

Memphis makes a whole series of smaller Sport Shields to fit metric cruisers that would bolt right up (admittedly not exactly the same look).

I looked into it a while ago. I think if you can call them and ask if they have one for an older vtx 1800 that might work. Valks headlights are bigger than the vtx. I decided to go a different route.

Yes....with some big p-clamps and Memphis shade bracketry, the bullet fairing will fit. I got one that was made for a vrod originally in flat black and I gotta say, on the Valkyrie, it looks bitchin  Smiley Smiley

Small thread hijack:

I use a set of Memphis Trigger-Lock mounts on my Tourer for attaching a Batwing or one of their Fats shields (using slightly modified Victory Trigger-Lock plates). These are augmented by a pair of the older Shades mounting clamps for the Valkyrie, which are positioned at the bottom of the space between the triple clamps.

The older Shades clamps act as the lower mount and positioning reference for my Bob Dron fairing, which was modified per the Shop Talk article. Before attaching it I remove the black Trigger-Lock bushings from the middle and upper mounting clamps, secure the Dron's brackets to the lower clamps then loosen the upper and middle clamps. These are moved into position, secured to the Dron brackets (via the Fats-style conical spacers and hex bolts) then the fork fixing bolts in each middle and upper clamp are tightened.

Sounds complicated but it took me longer to type this than it does to swap fairings.

As far as tunes...

I have Yaesu FTM-10SRs (2M/440MHz ham radio transceivers) on all of my bikes that didn't come with an OEM AM/FM stereo radio. (The Yaesu adds this functionality). My '99 Tourer wears an I/S trunk which has a set of accessory speakers installed, so my passenger can jam while riding if not wearing a helmet with headset. The SR's amplified Audio Out connection drives these.

I'd thought about a pair of front speakers to augment the ones in the armrests. The Batwing mounts and shell itself are a little questionable with regards to strength for adding a set, but one could use the Dron fairing's brackets to good effect.

Here's a link to a waterproof speaker designed for the amateur rig. Two could be attached to the brackets and one used per stereo channel. I have a pair of them and am going to look into mounting them come springtime.

I have a 1980 flh fairing mounted to my Honda tourer windshield brackets.A little bending of the harley brackets and all is good,I can now change from one to the other, but I do prefer the winshield.
