I just popped on this site to list my stock exhaust for sale and I see that Inzane is  in Billings MT this year, that's not but a 8-10 hour ride for me,  so being new to the Valkyrie even though I have had it 3 yrs or so, what goes on at this rally? or gathering?  might be a fun time for sure and maybe finally get my dragon out on the open highway where it belongs.

You know, the regular stuff.  Exorcisms, virgin sacrifice*, underwear sacrifice, scrabble, shuffleboard.

Also, bike tech sessions, daily rides, bike show, parking lot bike competitions (slow), couple vendors, awards dinner, story telling, tire kicking, sharing food with people.  Usually an escorted ride downtown with chamber of commerce liaison and food and shopping deals one evening (sponsor a local charity).

Besides visiting among many who only see each other at this event each year, local riding is always a main attraction.

The schedule of events will not yet be up, but past Inzane schedules might be found, somewhere.

*Sorry I guess the virgin sacrifice has been cancelled after last year's fiasco.... no one believed Willow was a virgin, he wouldn't wear the costume, and it went downhill after that.

Come ahead on. I have never heard anyone say that they had a bad time or wished that they had not gone to InZane. You may end up with a group of life long friends like the rest of us. Don't hesitate to come hang out with us. Folks will go out of their way to see that you are welcomed and enjoy yourself.  cooldude

I live in Rock Springs, WY, right on Interstate 80. It's about 500 or 600 miles from me... but I've never done Inzane before. Do we just kind of all show up in Billings at a predetermined hotel? Do we kinda gather along the route and ride together? Please, help  a newbie understand the protocols and schedules.... Please?

I have met up with folks along the way. I have also rode in alone or with a group that had gathered together before InZane. Either way works. It is hard to cordinate meet times along a route sometimes. It seems like someone is usually waiting at the meet place for awhile before the other party arrives. If you would like to meet up with others to ride in with, you should start a new thread with your route and times and see if someone or some group is taking the same route at the same time. Don't be afraid to ride in alone. You may ride in as a stranger but will more than likely ride out as family.  cooldude

I believe once you register on the IZ page, the hotel info will be given to you. Then You book your hotel room. The hotel is where everything happens.

Inzane dates are June 26-30 most folks show up the day before. Sunday the 25th. That evening we the Vrcc staff feed every one dinner as a early bird gathering. Ther will be between 200-250 folks there to eat on Sunday. Monday is when we actually start the event. There will be opening ceremonies Monday evening including raffle drawings and a 50/50 drawing. We gather each evening for raffles and other events to support the club and a charity local th the area that we are visiting. We also have planned day rides along with bike games and a bike show during the day(s). Daniel Meyer will also be doing tech sessions during the week to help you work on your bike. There is a banquet dinner on Thursday evening with awards and such. You will not be board if you like motorcycles, fun, and good people. Come check it out. When you register you will get the hotel info on your registration receipt. Then you can call the hotel and make your reservation.  cooldude

As a 1 time attendee who asked the same questions, this is what I feel this is.

You pay your registration fee to the VRCC board, for your group, and see all that you get for it.

This board up and running for another year. With all its crazy loveable people, who make you feel like you are talking to your own family.

Discounted hotel rates at Ground Zero (the host hotel where all the shinny/dirty bikes sleep at night). I checked, that discount is sizeable this year.

Show up early on the Sunday, free dinner.

Thursday night dinner.

Venders show up. At IZ15 was BigBF, who is a wizard working on the Valks. Spends his whole time there fixing. So a good place to prearrange an appointment. Buy and get installed one of his varied products. Forget the names, but there was the leather worker and the F6 clothing stores.

A memorial t-shirt.

There are daily sponsored demos, how-to shows. Like mentioned, meet up with others and go on some nice rides.

As for riding to the Rally, we'll be a group leaving from Post Falls ID Sunday morning by 7 am, after our Valhalla Rally there.

Start another thread closer to the ride date, try to meet at a days start or lunch point.

Looks like there's a family event scheduled for the 25 and 26th. So I "might" be able to leave Rock Springs on the 27th and get there the afternoon of the 28th. Sounds like I'm gonna miss about half the fun. Insert sad face here. Sad

You should be able to make it up in 1 day.  I made it from Sturgis (9 am) to the Little Bighorn, stopped at a memorial in Kaycee WY and continued down to Wheatland for the night.

About 600 miles. Just me, I might make it. The little woman will be behind me... she might think 600 miles in one day is too far to be fun. We'll see...

Turns out there is a shorter route ... just under 400 miles. And I reached a compromise -- wife is coming with me and we'll be trailering the dragon to Billings (as much as it pains me to do that). But that means I can bring some of my extra parts to sell, and barter, along with an extra change of underwear (say thank you if you're gonna sit close to me).

Kinda curious if the hotel has accommodations for me to park the trailer... ? Any insights, or do I need to call the hotel and ask them? (gotta call to make the reservations anyway...)

Looking forward to some daily rides and some fun. And some new friends.

Don't feel too bad, often the benefits outweigh the compromise.  I am going to have to find a way to get two Valks to Billings. My son is taking the one Valk back to ID and then my wife is flying out to Billings, meeting me, and we are riding back to PA.
But that means I can bring some of my extra parts to sell, and barter, along with an extra change of underwear (say thank you if you're gonna sit close to me).
Or, just bring some old pairs and throw them away. Takes up less space.  Grin

I would presume that question has been asked of the hotel as many who are riding in are towing trailers. Understand that your's may be bigger, but pretty sure you are not the only one who is doing this.

Trailers are welcome and we will have a designated trailer parking area.  cooldude
