Hey guys I have the cobra 6into6 exhaust with the baffles in them on my 1999 valkyrie and i want it a little louder! My question is can I take one baffle out each side would that cause any problems down the road! Thanks!

I can tell see that it would hurt anything. Might make for a rougher idle and exhibition sound. Maybe more like a Harley Cheesy

Take them all out like I did. Even my Harley friends said they thought it would be louder. Might have to turn ur air/mixture screw out a quarter.

Here's my 2 cents on this topic. I ran my Hotrod without baffles for almost a year. The bike sounded cool and insanely loud. I loved it, at least for an hour or two into a ride, but then it started driving me nuts. It's even worse if you ride with a FF helmet (I wear one all the time). I put the baffles back in, but it sounded like a bloody battery operated weed wacker. I started cutting down the baffles and experimenting with their length.

The original baffles are about 14" in length. I had mine cut down to 6", still sounded tinny. Then 4", still not satisfied. Next step was 3", which worked perfectly. Bike has a nice low rumble at idle, not too loud. But it really growls and comes to life when you twist the throttle. Additionally, the 3" cut baffles also adds backpressure, which is quite noticeable at the lower end!
