A friend who has a full on wing, surprised me by showing up to a RTE with a blue 14 valk with 4K on the odo.   He bought the Corbin bags and discovered the back mount stud was missing off the right mounting bracket and Corbin sent him a new bracket. Well I scored the old one and will have the left copied by a professional fabricator friend.  This way I will finally get the clean look and tucked in bags and be able to sell the un altered stock Honda bag hardware.  So I will mate the Corbin hardware with Champion bags and will be able to put the fender blanks back in for the clean look.   Still have another 1500 to finish so it will not be done soon.

Woofred, not sure if you caught the just of this project or you are just adding to the thought in general.

I am using the free bracket making a second one for the other side.

After this is done I will be mounting my Champion bags to it not Corbin. The reason is a cleaner bracket look and a cleaner rear fender look whereas that is all I see,  fender.  The Corbin is a bottom mount, under the fender.  Brilliant

It surprises me how many times some of us have taken our bikes apart. I seem to dismantle my front end at least once every 6 months.

Those brackets do look mighty sturdy.

Yipes!   Shocked  Blue prints for homes and furniture is the limit of my creating experience and I have AutoCAD but haven't used it in forever except to open delete layers to find stuff I need in my work building.

I can try but the angles here are so convoluted for my p-brain  crazy2  or maybe many pictures with angles and measurements?

Maybe the fabricator would build more?

The one thing that limits the size of the Corbin bags is the horizontal bracket at the bottom of the bracket that is really not needed. They could have made it a flat bracket and not had the bottom support and that would have allowed the bags to have a better shape and would have held on just fine with 4 supports on the back of the bags. Jerry bike looks great and I would also think about removing that bottom support as it will make the Champion bags mount to high on the bike. Cut that support, put an arm across at the same points but make the bracket flat and mount the Champion bags about an inch above the exhaust.
