Hey guys and gals, I had my bike into the honda dealer recently and they did some work including adjusting front brake and adding brake fluid,  I don't ride the bike much but when I had it on the jack today the front wheel does not turn freely, and if I apply the brake and release it hardly turns at all,
does the bike need to have the resevoir  bled a little.  Any ideas are much appreciated!!!!!
BTW my bike I'm referring to is a '97 Std

Take it back to the dealership. Have them redo the BRAKES until it is right.

Yes, they probably didn't follow the correct procedure (that's outlined on this forum) for tightening the front wheel.  Few dealers, it seems, have techs who know how to work on our old Valks.

There are better post about how this all came about, but this one shows nicely what the problem is.

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,93097.msg925665.html#msg925665

Because the axle isn't mounted correctly, the alignment of the whole front end is off, and everything is rubbing.

The dealer never should have let the bike out the door with this problem. Another reason why some dealers wont take anything older than 10 years old. I always thought that was stupid, but the more posts I read about problems that leave a shop, the more I understand why.

For everyone, learn to do it yourself.

If they replaced the brake pads, they could have pushed the pistons back in the calipers without cleaning the crud off of the pistons first. This causes the brakes to drag because the pistons do not retract properly.

I'd be outraged that they let you take it home that way. Pry the front brake pads out and take it back without using the front lever. Make them do it again and learn how to do these jobs yourself.

adjusting a front brake?  there are zero adjustments other than new pads. run from that stealer if they charged for adjustment.
only drum and parking brakes can be adjusted, disk brakes with a caliper cannot be adjusted.
