Interesting Day!

I was upstairs getting the cat's breakfasts ready, when a really loud boom happened in back of the house. I put up the blind, and saw that a large limb from the neighbor's yard had split  off & come over the fence and landed in our yard, close to the house. I went from window to window, then checked the computer, power was still on. Looked closer, the wires were tangled in the wood, but  there was slack in the lines. The end that had split off was resting above the fence, held in place by the 3 small crab apple trees on our side of the fence. My back neighbor took a picture, and the neighbor whose tree it was sent info to the city of Boston. When I went downstairs, I found that the rear living room window screen had an 8 inch rip in it, but the glass was intact. I do not know why what could have been such a terrible thing ended up being simply a nuisance. I do believe Claire did not want her house damaged just a day before her birthday. Going to buy a lottery ticket tomorrow.

Close call.....screen is easily replaced.
