I have seen a lot of posts on LED lights in the Standard and Tourer speedometer but nothing on the same in the Interstate.  Has anyone put LEDS in their Tach and speedo and if  so what ones did you use?

Thanks

Not the IS, but the best post I remember for the LED back lighting.

I plan on using the info posted here, and change out my IS dash light back lighting.

My dad and I tried it with green LED's and in fact he pulled his dash completely off the bike. There is a plastic piece that diffuses the light. The green LED's did not make it easier to see the speedometer and tach. Now there are four LED's on the backside of the instrument cluster the two center LED's did change the color of the LCD display in the center to a cool looking green. Think early monochrome monitors with the green text. I may ask my daughter to pull out my two center LED's and replace with the green ones. Hopefully this helps.
