I did it about 6 months ago. Got a good deal from Kingbee here on the board. My results were positive. However not right off the bat. It took 2-3 tankfulls to get the results i noticed witch i still dont know why. That being said, over the summer i compared my mileage notes and overall i got 1-2mpg better in town and 2-4 on the highway at speeds 65-70mph. Lowend preformance improved enough to notice. If had to do it again i would however, i would get a used unit from a reliable source before i would buy new. Hopes this helps.

Change the springs(carb) over to  the interstate springs for a quick power incease. Cheap modification for about 15 bucks. cooldude

i dont think it matters. i use 91 octang. few cents more you go first class. i do notice a differance with the higher grade but that may be due to the overrefined fuel we have here. i would start with 87, run a few tanks and see. check you mileage and then move up to the next grade and do the same thing. hope this helps

Unless you have a trigger wheel of have done the ECT mod, either of which will advance your timing, you shouldn't need 91 octane. I have done the ECT mod on my standard and just to be safe I run mid-grade.
