Forgot my jacket yesterday

I hadn't ridden the bike to work the week previous, so my jacket was stowed in the hallway closet. I was going to grab it on my way out yesterday. I forgot it. But I remembered it when I was outside and could have turned around and grabbed it, but it was 60 some degrees and felt good, so I walked away without it.

I hopped on my bike and rode.

I didn't have to get my wife up and going so I was running earlier than usual so I took the long way. My long sleeve dress shirt and sweater vest felt great. I didn't need no jacket. I was glad that I left it behind. I could save the jacket for the upcoming cold days and enjoy the ride in.

I left work yesterday to come home and realized why I should have grabbed the jacket. It was raining.

By the time I got back to the house my sweater vest was soaked and hanging heavy. My dress pants and white shirt were soggy. Oh well. I have more clothes at the house.

I changed clothes and was ready to go again. Life happens.

I'm off work today. I'm just sitting here looking at the foggy morning. My wife is running around the house trying to find her shoes so that we can go to a funeral. Today is looking like a volvo kind of day. Oh well. I'll be back on the bike and back commuting tomorrow. I'll have to remember to grab a jacket.
