Shifting gears (For Sale)

Sherry and I are setting up our very low mile pristine 1500 Valkyrie that will be our two up ride machine.   I'm going to offer up for sale my custom windshield, as I will be going to no windshield at all. The custom windshield I have is taking parts from the 1500 brackets and custom making them to fit a windshield recently made by Gustafsson.  It is a decent size windshield with plenty of coverage it has performed very well. For you non 1500 people, ask the 1500 people how much the hardware alone cost as it's hard to find. I will fully admit I bought the hardware at pennies on the dollar from someone who did not know what they had.   This is a beautiful windshield and I am asking $300 with everything you need plus shipping.   My personal opinion is as I've said many times before the 1800 Valkyrie is much better served for one up. I don't feel that once you put two people and all the luggage needed for a longer trip it doesn't do as well as the 1500.   I am and will always be a 1500 lover!!

Hmm..cannot speak from experience, but man my 1800 handles my old lady on the back with such ease...simple sissy bar bag for overnight stuff (surprisingly large)..and we cruise for HOURS, and hours... What I love is how fast the bike is with two people..and how well it handles..

I kind of saw this coming, and sorry to hear it, but understand. It was never a really good fit for you.

I see no saddlebags/hardware on shiney blue that add significant weight by themselves. A rear carrier with extra large kury bag stuffed and me who is not fat but a big boy.  The Cross country trip we took two up is what changed my mind.  Not sure what the guitar man weighs but I am 230. (Big bones) not knocking the bike.  Or maybe I should have bought that blue.   cooldude
